Technical Steps For Making a Crate Mould

SHINE MOULD is a professional plastic turnover box mould manufacturer, such as milk bottle turnover box mould, bread turnover box mould, industrial turnover box mould, fish turnover box mould, etc. We provide customers with one-stop service, turnover box mold design, and high-quality Crate Mould processing. We provide customers with first-class service and technical support, and high-quality crate molds have been appreciated by most customers.

According to the number of cavities, plastic crate molds can be divided into many types, such as a one-cavity crate, two-cavity crate, and four-cavity crate mold. In order to provide high production efficiency, many users will choose 4-cavity crate molds. Four-cavity crate molds occupy most of the market for mold manufacturing and product sales and enjoy a high reputation. This type of mold is suitable for high-speed injection molding with a cycle time of only 42 seconds. We have produced many 4-cavity crate molds with high quality and competitive prices.

The technical steps for making a crate mold are as follows:

The main material of the crate is polypropylene, and its melt flow rate should be in the range of 1.5-5g/10min. In order to reduce production costs, we can also add 10% recycled materials according to customer needs. The steel of the crate mold is usually 718 or 2738, which must be forged, CNC milled, rough processed, tempered, and CNC milled.

Due to the large size of the crates and the need for large amounts of raw materials. The specification of the injection molding machine should be greater than 1000g.

Usually, a hot runner is used. The advantages of hot runners are 1. Save materials. 2. Improve production efficiency. 3. In the long run, costs can be reduced.

The injection parameters of the plastic box mold are as follows: screw temperature: front 190-220°C, middle 220-240°C, rear 180-200°C, nozzle temperature 170-220°C. Injection pressure: 70-100mpa. The injection molding cycle is 60-180s, the injection time is 5-10s, the holding time is 5-15s, and the cooling time is 20-the 60s.

Because the structure of the crate is huge and complicated. Crate mould design should adopt a multi-mode structure.

The venting effect of the plastic box mold is better, which can avoid black spots or scorching of the plastic products.
